Ofsted

Ofsted Inspection report from 3rd and 4th July 2018

Dear Parents / carers,

Please find attached a copy of the report from our Ofsted inspection on Tuesday 3rd July and Wednesday 4th July. Clearly it is a very positive report and we are delighted that we have been judged ‘good’ in all aspects and on page 5 we are judged ‘outstanding’ for children’s Personal development and welfare.

The Ofsted inspectors met many children and parents during the two days and obviously reading the report our children certainly shone as we knew they would. We are extremely proud that they are quoted directly in the report as this is very much in keeping with our child centred ethos. It is also testament to the focus we have had, led by Mrs. Stone,on developing:articulate, aspirational, confident, determined and independent learners.

Mr. Jordan, Mrs. Stone, the rest of the leadership team and governors have already met and discussed that the next stage of our school’s improvement is to become ‘outstanding’. However, please be assured that we will continue to retain our child centred ethos and family feel, we have no intention of becoming an exam factory with stressed and pressured children!Equally we will continue to serve all our community, welcoming and celebrating diversity. Our balanced curriculum, including our excellent sports provision will also continue.

We are confident that with the strong progress we have already made, with the children we have in our school and our strong staff team, that with your continued support we can go on to achieve even greater things for our children and community.

Of course, we will also continue to benefit from the partnership, support, challenge, and professional development of our wider Trust.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. Matthew Jordan, Headteacher

Mrs. Julie Hall, Chair of Local Governing Board
