School Meals
We are committed to promoting healthy eating. We want every child to enjoy nutritious meals that give them the energy and focus they need to learn and thrive. Our school meals are designed to provide a balanced diet, while packed lunches brought from home should also reflect our healthy eating principles.
Healthy Eating Guidelines
To support consistency and meet national food standards, we ask that packed lunches do not contain:
- Sweets or chewing gum
- Sugared, toffee, or salted popcorn
- Sugary drinks such as fizzy drinks, sweetened juice drinks (e.g., Ribena, Capri Sun, Fruit Shoots), fruit squash, or juice drinks
- Nuts of any type, including spreads containing nuts
School Catering
Our school provides healthy, freshly prepared meals for children. Our school ensures that meals:
- Are made from fresh ingredients wherever possible
- Include a wide choice of cooked and raw vegetables, salads, and fresh fruit
- Offer meat, fish, and vegetarian options
- Minimise fried or highly processed foods
- Comply with recognised healthy eating standards
Schools also cater for special dietary requirements, including allergies, religious needs, and cultural preferences.
The lunch provided in our school consists of a hot two-course meal, offering a choice of main courses, vegetables, salads and desserts. A cold lunchbox option is also available. Cost (for Years 3-6) is just £2.65 per meal, which is exempt from VAT. The menu for the week to come is displayed in the noticeboard as you come into school.
The menus are designed to be tempting and healthy and offer choice for vegetarians with some special diets available. See our menus below:
